Dr. Howson-Jones was born and raised in Langley, BC. Her elementary school, Langley Central Fundamental, gave her the foundation she needed for a lifetime of learning. Mountain Secondary would be her high school, where she loved science and music – what a combination! But it was her desire to help people that would point her towards the healthcare field and an after-school-job that would spark her interest in dentistry.

The following encompasses her credentials:
Bachelor of Science (Microbiology) – University of Alberta, 2004
Bachelor of Dentistry – University of Sydney, 2010
Diploma in Pediatric Dentistry – University of Alabama, 2012

Appointed as Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of British Columbia, Dr. Howson-Jones is enjoying teaching final year dental students at their Douglas College satellite clinic. She plans to continue her involvement with UBC Dentistry as a chance to give back and inspire other young female dental professionals, and you may see a student in her office helping out from time to time.

Dr. Howson-Jones is happy to be back home in Beautiful British Columbia, connecting family and friends, whether it be to go camping, hiking, swimming or just enjoying a good book – family is paramount to who she is.

Eleanor is the Mom of 3 adult children. She enjoys working in a pediatric dental office because kids are so much fun to work with. Taylor, the daughter of a dentist, has a love for children, animals and swimming. Her years of experience from swim coaching and being a nanny, to teaching in equestrian and varied children’s camp programs, have enhanced her ability to connect and have the compassion necessary for successfully working with children in the field of dentistry. Taylor graduated from Dental Hygiene, Ontario in 2010.

Shelby graduated from The University of the Fraser Valley in 2017 with a Certificate in Dental Assisting. She particularly enjoys being able to talk to little ones all day and teach them all about good oral hygiene; kids bring a fun atmosphere to the working environment. In her spare time, she enjoys reading and being in the outdoors.

Shelby joined our team after being in the administrative field for over ten years and is excited to bring her skills to our office. As a mom of two young children she is well suited to the pace of a pediatric dental office. Shelby enjoys seeing the smiling faces of our patients during their visits and hearing that they’re excited for next time. In her spare time, she enjoys crafting and traveling with her family.
